Here are the key positions and responsibilities we are currently looking for:

 

One-to-One Work Care Assistant

You will be responsible for assisting vulnerable and marginalized people with daily domestic support tasks. Your goal is to promote their independence, and your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Developing relationships with clients to better understand their needs;

  • Assisting with daily routines and tasks;

  • Helping clients access the community;

  • Helping organize the client's daily/nightly schedule;

  • Ensuring that clients attend medical appointments; 

  • Reporting any changes or progress to key supervisors; 

  • Adhering to established policies, procedures, applicable quality assurance/safety and environmental standards.

Respite Personal Assistant

You may be assigned to clients temporarily being housed in private homes, long-term care/healthcare facilities, providing care and comfort for people recovering from illnesses, accidents, or injuries. You are responsible for caring for people who are unable to care for themselves. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Performing assistance and care tasks;

  • Supporting basic hygiene tasks such as brushing teeth or combing hair;

  • Updating family members and/or supervisors on the client's progress and condition;

  • Participating in the client’s recreation and therapy activities; 

  • Providing companionship on walks in the park, community, or tea time;

  • Assisting clients with daily, recreational and socialization activities according to care plans; and

  • Adhering to established policies, procedures, and applicable quality assurance/safety and environmental standards.

Rehabilitation Support Worker

As a Rehabilitation Support Worker your goal is to assist people with regaining their independence. You will be assigned to various settings like care homes or healthcare facilities. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Working effectively to provide rehabilitation support;

  • Using therapeutic skills to engage clients while promoting independence and improving their well-being;

  • Developing professional relationships with clients and communicating with them in a way that respects their views, autonomy, and culture;

  • Working closely and collaboratively with other professionals to ensure the client is getting the right help;

  • Teaching life skills like personal care routines; 

  • Gathering and accurately recording details about clients; and

  • Adhering to established policies, procedures, and applicable quality assurance/safety and environmental standards.
